The devastating flood in Libya shortly after the h The devastating flood in Libya shortly after the horrific earthquake in Morocco or the floods in Taiwan, just to name a few recent events, have all been associated with climate change.

While this might be true, they are also the consequences of the lunar declination cycle.

The Moon rules tides and thus, first of all, water. Rivers, lakes, oceans. Ebb and flood, especially in the North Sea or even in some places in Canada, are only the most visual expressions of that strength.
But Selene does not just rule water. She rules all kind of currents and therefore winds, lava and even tectonic plates.
I have written at various occasions about the fact that this year is a climax period in the 18.6 lunar declination cycle.
When the North node enters Aries, the luminary reaches her highest possible declination period of 28+ degrees. She will reach this high degree every month for about 2 years and then slowly start to decrease. This phenomenon is called a "major lunistice".
She first made it to 28°N just while the storm was building up on September 8th.
On September 10th the hurricane Daniel made its landfall in Libya and flooded the town of Derna, just when the Moon was also at her northern bending (farthest latitude). This event looks almost like ticking with a giant clock.

The luminary will come to her declination peak the first time at 28°42' on Sept 24th, 2024 and a second time at 28°43' on March 7th, 2025. After that she starts decreasing in declination.

If we look at the peak of the last declination cycle we see that it started at the end of 2004 and coincided with the Tsunami of Banda Aceh in Indonesia. It's peak was on Sept 15th, 2006.

I will give a talk on the topic of the lunistices at the "Congreso internacional de astrologia" (in Spanish) this autumn. Update will follow.

During my visit of the London Tower, or more preci During my visit of the London Tower, or more precisely of the Salt Tower, I found this sphera mundi. It might have been engraved by the same Hew Draper who left the zodiac graffiti (see previous post), only a meter or two away, in 1561.
Funny thing, in the description of the zodiac, the museum refers to Hew as a "sorcerer" while in the explanation of the globe the same Hew is called "astrologer".

this is an engraved zodiac from the notorious London Tower, a place where many people including Anne Boleyn or Elisabeth I were held prisoners or even executed.
In one of the former prison cells, at the height of the ankles and therefore overlooked by most, there is this engraved zodiac.
The creator of this zodiac was the Innkeeper Hew Draper accused of sorcery and later executed, He probably worked on the graffiti while being enchained in the floor, hence it's low position.
On top of the zodiac we can read "Hew Draper of Bristol made this speer the 30 of May 1561".
On the left and on the right are 2 columns with degree indications from 0 to 90°. Further in the left there are two different tables with 12 rows each which contain the planetary hour rulers for the month.

Much has been written over the last two weeks on t Much has been written over the last two weeks on the nodes' ingress in tropical Aries on July 12th.
The lunar nodes change their sign every 1,5 years and need 9.3 years to swap position and 18.6 years for one complete revolution. While they affect each sign they cross, the passage through Aries is indeed a particular one.
This is because only when the North node is in tropical Aries, the Moon reaches her greatest possible declination of 28°+.
Vedic astrologers would look for the conjunction between Rahu and the vernal point to pinpoint that very moment.
For a few days, that high declination remains the same, as it was 'stationary'.
After this, the declination starts to decline again.
In the current cycle, the Moon will reach her highest possible declination of 28°18'N on Oct.5th, 2023, at 19:34 CET, when she is in Cancer.
The period in which the nodes are in Aries and the Moon therefore reaches such a high degree, has effects on tides and all kind of weather pattern.

More on this in my upcoming book.

Today, most countries use the metric system. This system is, of course, based on the meter.

But did you know that the meter is actually based on latitude?

The meter was defined in 1791 as one ten- millionth of the distance from the equator to the north pole through the meridian of Paris.
Is has been remeasured since then but the value is basically correct.

This is not the first time in history that the distance to the north pole is used as a base for measurement.
One example is the ancient Indian Yojana hasta unit. It measures 432 mm which corresponds to 108 ten-billionths of the circumference of the earth on a great circle through the poles.
432 is also 4x108. The latter is a sacred number in many cultures and linked to the precession on the equinoxes.

432 is also one of the basic units in the architecture of Cambodia's Ankhor Wat and, of course, the tenth of the duration of the Krita Yuga.

𝐔𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐭?

Have you ever wondered why the lunar nodes are represented by the figure of a dragon? Where and when did this figure enter the stage of astrology?

Images and symbols are incredibly important in our art and neglecting them means missing a great deal of information.
The first thing to understand is that the dragon is only a part of a family made of dragon, snakes, lizards, crocodiles or chameleons. All of them can be considered as shape shifters because either they outgrow their own skin at some point of time and get rid of it or else, they can modify their pigmentation and adapt to their changing environment.

From these simple biological facts, it is easy to understand why these reptiles have been associated to cycles of time.

For the Christians, the first snake is the famous one from the garden of Eden, which tempts Eva to eat the forbidden apple. After that, everything changes and the “happy-time-in-paradise” is over, a new cycle starts.

A gigantic snake, known as Vasuki, offers itself as a rope in order to churn the ocean of milk in the Vedic tradition. Similar concepts can be found in all religions.
Snakes, dragons and lizards have been found cast into stone all over the world, for example in Ankhor Wat (Cambodia), Gobelkli Tepe (Turkey), Ohio (USA), Buenkhong (Thailand).

There are countless stories of snakes and dragons in our history. And there are also their celestial expressions in the sky, Hydra, Draco to start with but also Ophiuchus who holds a celestial snake and so on.
In order to find the link between the dragon of the lunar nodes and THE other celestial dragon, the most important of all, I had to dig deep.
But I found it and in doing so I also learned why the lunar nodes are exalted where they are.

It is all there, in the astronomy. Maybe we should not forget that astrology and astronomy are twin sisters and that they work hand in hand. Astronomy gives the facts, astrology interprets them. None can be without the other.

The results of my three years plus research can be found in my upcoming book. All pieces are finally getting together.

We all know about the horoscope painted on the cei We all know about the horoscope painted on the ceiling of the Egyptian Temple of Dendera. But who new about this one crafted in stone in the Indian Varadha Peruma temple in Tamil Nadu? One particularity is that each zodiacal animal sign is shown with a rider on it, even Cancer. Furthermore, the horoscope has many rings attached to it which were crafted from the rock and not just attached to It later.

Besides this stunning zodiac, there are many other amazing carvings in this temple, for example a rapresentation of the 27 Nakshatras with their names beneath them written in archaic Tamil language. The symbols of these Nakshatras seem to describe the star clusters which the Nakshatras indicate and the number of stars they are composed of.

After the horrible loss of the submarine vessel Ti After the horrible loss of the submarine vessel Titan, the word "implosion" is certainly making record clicks on Google search.
Astrologically, implosion and explosion have two different signatures.
An explosion is an outburst of energy and the reduction of material. Its ruler is Mars.
Mars in a fire sign describes the "classical" fire explosion, Mars in and earth signs could describe the release of tectonic energy, hence earthquakes. Mars in an air sign would be descriptive of a tornado and Mars in water sign might depicta a typhoon or a tsunami. The energy is set free.
Implosion, on the other hand, is the energy of a colapse. It's an inward motion and it's ruler is Saturn. Saturn rules pressure, density, weight and al kid of bounderies, such as hulls or skin.
We can compare an implosion with a vacuum cleaner: the dust goes inside of it. It is like a can of cola that is squeezed after use.
In the chart of the Titan that I published a few days ago, we can see that Saturn rules the 6th house, which describes illness in a human and defect materials in a vessel. Saturn is linked to pressure and the pressure comes from a column of water above the vessel, 40,000 liter for each centimeter, go figure (Saturn in Pisces) . Saturn is in the 8th house and the Moon is going to trine him. This is very descriptive of what happend. Once the vessel (Moon and AC) was deep "enough ", the pressure squeezed the Titan like a can, which then broke into pieces, the debris being found now. The trine here actually does not describe a "benefic" event as students usually think , but rather the easiness of unfolding events to happen, especially considering the houses of the Moon (12th) and Saturn (8th).
However, there is a good news, if we can say so, especially for the 19 years old kid I feel so much for since he had the same age as my son.
Apparently the time of the implosion was much quicker than the neuron transmission of what was happening to the brain. Pray that's true.

Pingree believed that Harran, a town in the North Pingree believed that Harran, a town in the North of the Persian Empire (now south east Turkey) which has been particularly important during the Sasanian period, might have been the melting pot of all kind of astronomical, astrological and cultural exchange.

The inhabitants of Harran were the Sabians, an ancient tribe of star worshippers that gave origin to many famous astrologers, as for example Thabit ibn Qurra.
Harran has indeed a surprising history and deep astrological roots.
Story goes that the town was founded by Cainan, son of Arpaxad (believed to be the forefather of the Chaldeans[ Indeed, the Chaledeans were also called Kaldu, Kasdu, Kesed, Kesdim and, according to Flavius Josephus, Arphaxad.) and great grandson of Noah.
The Bible specifies that Cainan was taught astrology by the famous but mysterious "watchers".
In the twenty-ninth jubilee, in the first week, in the beginning there of Arpaxshad took to himself a wife and her name was Rasu'eja, the daughter of Susan, the daughter of Elam, and she bare him a son in the third year in this week, and he called his name Kainam.
And the son grew, and his father taught him writing, and he went to seek for himself a place where he might seize for himself a city.
And he found a writing which former (generations) had carved on the rock, and he read what was thereon, and he transcribed it and sinned owing to it; for it contained the teaching of the Watchers in accordance with which they used to observe the omens of the sun and moon and stars in all the signs of heaven.
Today we know that Harran is close to Gobleki Tepe, an astronomical observatory which dates back as far as 10.000 BC and which has presumably been in use for thousands of years and was then apparently abandoned for uncertain reasons around 8000 BCE. However, whether the Sabians [ Sabian means stars and saba’ia signifies "star people”] were descendants of the people who built Gobelki Tepe or not, they apparently maintained some kind of relationship with its past. Fact is, Al-Kindi reports that Alexander the Great was taught by Hermes "the Sabian Prophet".

Tomorrow, May 21 2023 ,for the first time, Saudi A Tomorrow, May 21 2023 ,for the first time, Saudi Arabia goes into space. This is an event broadly
marketed in the Saudi Kingdom.
The first Muslim female astronaut from Saudi Arabia, Rayyanah Barnawi, a medical researcher and
her male colleague Ali Alqarni will participate in a private space mission together with one paying
participant and a former NASA astronaut, Peggy Whitson, commander of the mission.

The official launch time is set for 5.37 p.m. (Cap Canaveral, Florida).

This timing is not very lucky.

If the launch takes time at this precise moment, we have the last degree of Libra rising, which is the
Via Combusta.
Only 3 degrees from the AC we find the south node. Both are very negative indications
to start with.

On the MC we see Mars, who has just lost his dignities as the triplicity ruler of the water signs. He is
out of sect and peregrine in the place that represents the success of the mission.

Mars is going to
square peregrine Jupiter who rules the 8th from the 10th, where we also find peregrine Saturn.

The
Moon has long left her square from Saturn and is now also approaching Jupiter, who is in an earth sign.

The Sun, ruler of the MC is in the 8th house, disposed by Mercury, in an earth sign and in aversion.

The Sun is afflicted by a sextile from peregrine Mars and an applying square to Saturn.

Let us hope that the launch will have some delay or wil be postponed.
I wish those guys to come back safely.

Yesterday, Mai 18th at 22.17 the Italian Civil pro Yesterday, Mai 18th at 22.17 the Italian Civil protection issued an alert for the Etna Volcan, setting the flag from green to yellow.
This is certainly interesting considering that Mars, the natural ruler of volcans, is going to leave watery Cancer tomorrow, Mai 20th, when he will enter fiery Leo.

He will then cast a square to magnifying but bottled Jupiter in Taurus, only hours after the New Moon in late Taurus.

This NM occurs EXACTLY with the AC on the south node (set for Catania/ Etna) while Mars is in the bendings, lacking only 3 degrees from an exact square which he is going to apply.

Mars was also the AC ruler in the ingress chart, in the 8th house while Saturn was conjunct the IC.

He is in the 8th house at the time of the Twitter message.

Since Italy is already shaken by floods (yep, Mars in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces) this Mars ingress is a serious warning.

While he have recently heard all about house systems, little has been said about the earliest associations of the houses.

We know that the angular houses are associated with the 4 cardinal directions east, west, north and south.

But why, for example, is the 7th house given to enemies?

The answer might surprise because of its practical straight forwardness.

Early "house" associations (or rather what would later be called houses), started with the Sumerians and later Babylonians and were linked to cardinal directions, so let's switch to Babylonian geography.

In the west of Babylon lived the people of Amurru who repeatedly threatened and invaded Babylonia. Hence "west" was simply associated with the direction, their enemies came from. Similarly, the associations of colors, stones, crops, towns and countries followed the same principles.

The people from Akkad and Nippur, including their physiognomy, character, behavior, but also colors and everything growing or coming from there was associated with the north.

Subartu was in the east of Mesopotamia and hence descriptive of all people, food, plants and goods coming from there.

Elam was in the south and descriptive of the people of Uruk, the ancestors and where the Mesopotamian culture had its first center.
So basically, the astology in Mesopotamia was hermetic. Instead of "as above so below" , they had "as the, west so its tribes".

On May 16th, at 7.20 p.m CST Jupiter enters Taurus On May 16th, at 7.20 p.m CST Jupiter enters Taurus where he loses his triplicity rulership and is peregrine. Since Jupiter's nature is warm and moist, typically sanguine, he gets cold feet in earthy and dry Taurus, which has a melancholic nature.
Since Taurus is a female sign, it's nature is rather passive which is why exuberant Jupiter easily feels restrained here, obliged to hold back. However the mutual reception with Venus makes his stay rather pleasant.
While Jupiter initially receives Mars in his exaltation, the latter will exit the save harbor on May 20th and enter much hotter Leo, squaring Jupiter. Now the restrainment gets more difficult to handle and the square will bring more fuel to Mars since Jupiter wants everything big time.
This signiture is further strengthened by its conjunction with the ascending node, while Mars is in the northern bendings of the Moon, hence tense like an arrow, ready to fly.
In my time zone Jupiter rules the 2nd house of finances and Mars the 1st and the 6th (illnesses or employments). Mars is in the 9th house of foreign countries and we know what is going on in France.
When Mars enters Leo, he loses dignities and hence control. There is no empathy anymore, the water is gone.
On the same day, May 20th, the Moon will square Saturn, which describes repressed people, the more so since the Moon is in a human sign in the 8th WSH.
The Moon's next aspect is a square to Mars with mutual reception.
No de-escalation in sight.
