Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz
On my Instagram profile and in Substack note yesterday I have published my analysis of the moment the US-Iran ceasefire negotiations started last Saturday, April 11.
This article here deals with the immediate consequences of this meeting, namely the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz by the US military.
The entrance to or the exit from the strait of Hormuz will be blocked by the US military starting today, April 13th 2026 at 10 ET, which translates to 17.30 Tehran time.

Some background info
I have warned in my recent posts that negotiations would not go anywhere because a common ground was lacking (or possibly even the intention to get to one) and the besiegement of the Moon during the talks was quite telling. But the besiegement was also a translation from the Moon between Mars and Saturn.
So there we are. In full Saturn mode.
So let’s go with order. The Strait was already blocked by the Iranians, who would grant passage only to those ships whose country of origin was not allied with the US or Israel or doing business under false flag with wither of them.
Now the US threatened to block the passage for any ship passing. Basically, this can only apply to the ships already in the Strait, because I very much doubt that at this time, any new ships will try to enter the Strait of Hormuz.
This means the tankers already lining up in the Strait will effectively be stranded ad infinitum -who knows for how long- after they have already been there for weeks. I really feel for the people caught in the middle of all this who just try to make a living for their families. It must be a psychological nightmare.
I have looked at two charts, one cast for Tehran, and the other cast for the closest Iranian city to the strait of Hormuz, which is Bandar Abbas. The two cities are more than 1000 km afar and of course the degree of the angles change. I take Tehran for the official Iranian position and Bandar Abbas for what is actually happening directly in the strait.

The main difference between these two charts is the angularity Saturn and Jupiter.
The blockade starts in the hour of Mars. No explanation needed here, the war intention is clear.
The AC describes the Iranians and the DC their enemies, the US and the Israelis. The 7th house cusp is in Aries, a cardinal sign that indicates sudden or unexpected changes but also a sign that facilitates unpredictable or unexpected turns of events.
The role of Saturn
In the Tehran chart, Saturn is prominently sitting on the DC. (You gotta love astrology..!) Saturn is the natural ruler of brakes, blockades and arrests. He is angular which gives him great accidental strength, but what is worse, his nature is long-termed. He is not going away any time soon and his influence or rather the consequences of this blockage will be felt for a long time.
While Saturn’s dry nature is improved (inability to share or communicate) his cold nature is challenged. He is rushed and therefore tends underestimate or wrongly judge situations or to neglect details. After all, Saturn is in his fall in this place. Saturn describes things that are broken, concentrated, deaf or narrow. He also describes depth but all these factors are diminished or represent difficulties due to his lack of dignities.
I wonder how many problems Saturn will bring to the Americans rather than the Iranians because Saturn challenges the 7th house in the first place. Indeed, Saturn is in the bounds of the AC and the 8th house ruler Venus. But most importantly, Saturn, while being “in the hands of the enemy”, he opposes (threatens) the AC, but the point is that he rules Libra by exaltation and will not really hurt his own sign.
I take this to symbolize that the blockade will bring difficulties to Iran but might not represent a real thread. I also assume that they must have expected the US to do this. Saturn here reminds me of the Trojan Horse.
The role of Mars
The DC is ruled my Mars, who is essentially dignified by being in his own domicile but he is, nevertheless, withdrawing from the angle (more than 5° away from the cusp) and is therefore not as strong or influential as one might want believe. The day before the failed US-Iran negotiations, on April 10, Mars has entered his domicile. We know now that US warships had tried to enter the Strait of Hormuz just during those talks but they had to withdraw, at least for now.
The role of Venus
The AC ruler is Venus, which I take here to represent Iran. The Iranians are not stupid. They know exactly that the war will cost them tremendously. But since Venus is in the 8 th house, they are willing to face it. Venus is strong in this chart and sextiles exalted and angular Jupiter.
The role of Jupiter
Jupiter is the strongest planet in this chart and therefore a key factor in this blockade. He is exactly conjunct the MC in the Bandar Abbas chart and therefore has essential power and accidental opportunity to exert this power.
Jupiter is the ruler of the 6th, the Iranian military and of the 3rd house, of neighboring Countries but also of communication and transport. Jupiter is in a water sign and therefore describes military equipment used in water or under water. He is in Cancer, a sign linked to protection. It is a female sign and therefore defensive rather than offensive.
Mars is approaching Jupiter but he is not yet there. This is a diurnal chart which means we cannot consider a mutual reception by triplicity rulership, hence, the contact is hostile. I would assume Jupiter has the forehand because he is accidentally stronger (closer to an angle) and he is in sect.
Mars is in difficulty due to Saturn’s presence in his house and the approaching conjunction. Since he squares Jupiter I wonder if the warships might just be too big or, due to Saturn, not navigable or have too much draft/draught? This might explain his rulership over the 4th house (ground).
The role of the Moon
The Moon is close to her north node and in the house of the military. She rules the 10th house which she trines. She is therefore also trining Jupiter and this aspect is very strong since they are both in mutual reception by domicile. After the Jupiter aspect, the Moon sextiles Venus. It does not look too bad for the Iranians, that’s for sure.
Upcoming transits
Let us quickly look at the next important transits:
- Mercury enters Aries : April 15, tones will become (even more??!!) belligerent. (Hard to believe there is actually still room for an increase?!)
- Mars joins Saturn: April 19. This is probably the most very important day next week. I expect a big clash.
- Mars/Jupiter square: May 5th
That’s it for today.
Let there be peace.
