A preliminary survey
Following my thoughts on the development of the outbreak of the Hanta Virus. The article is ongoing and will be updated.
According to myShipTracking the Hondius left the port of Ushuaia at 14:27 local time, 17:24 UTC.

This is, in my eyes, the closest time that we can have as the start for the virus outbreak. Departure charts already contain the seed of what is going to happen later. I will use this chart as I would look at a decumbiture. A decumbiture is a chart cast for the moment somebody pays the doctor a visit, remains in bed because s/he feels ill or the urine is tested.
But since the departure of the Hondius brought a lot of people close together on limited space and isolated from the rest of the world, I think it might serve the purpose of a decumbiture. However, at a later point I might include other techniques as well.

Gemini was rising and was Mercury in his fall in the 10th house just past the North Node and is now applying Jupiter by a trine with unilateral reception. While Jupiter is a benefic, he is associated with the pleasures of social life, parties and so on. He is in the second place of substance or food, on a ship this corresponds to the dining room.
Mercury then applies Mars, the ruler of the 6th, representing the illness and while Mars is in his own term he is out of sect (diurnal chart) in Pisces.
Mars rules acute and infectious diseases. In Pisces he is in a mutable sign which nicely describes the fact that that the virus was discovered on a vessel in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. But it also points to a quick-spreading virus through body fluids. His position in the angular 10th house makes him accidentally strong and facilitates the contagiousness.
Mars is exactly conjunct the Moon via antiscia. The Moon, natural ruler of the physical body, in the 5th house, in a human sign, linked to Mars in a water sign seems to be descriptive of sexual transmission. However, the water element points also to droplets, mucus and the like.
The Moon has separated from an opposition from Saturn who receives her in his exaltation. This is not good news since Saturn rules the 8th house of struggle and death. The reception in this cases makes the transmission simply easier, like a thief finding an open door.
Now the Moon -conjunct Mars via antiscia- translates to an opposition to the Sun who has also recently be conjunct Saturn. The Moon seems to be rather besieged between these two malefics even though this definition might not apply 100% for antiscia.
The Sun represents truth or knowledge, something that becomes public. The Sun rules the 3rd house of communication and messages, so the news about the Hanta Virus (Mars) will come out soon.
The application from the Moon to the Sun also prohibits her application to the benefic in sect Jupiter first.
The Moon is only hours away from a Full Moon, which in this context seems to make matters even more urgent to look at. However, this also represents a situation on the verge of maximal exposition.

The question here is, of course if the Full Moon already describes the apex of a situation. In that case, the situation will be brought quickly under control.
The Moon has recently crossed the South Node and is therefore heading south, increasing therefore in southern latitude and hence in distance from the ecliptic. This is not very promising in this context.
Mars on the other hand is ascending south and will cross his North Node by the end of July. The problem with this is that when he crosses the ecliptic, his physical influence usually increases, in a way it is brought to the physical plane. We will have to wait and see how this works out.
In the Full Moon chart, cast for Ushuaia, we find the South Node very close the the MC in Virgo while Mars and Mercury and the South Node are at the IC. Mercury in this chart rules the 6th house of disease.
Now let us see if decumbiture rules apply in the departure chart.
Basically we need to consider the angles from the Moon for a crisis: 7° Libra, 7° Aries 7° Cancer and 5° Capricorn. The degrees are less important than the signs! In addition we need to check the sign of the 6th house ruler and its aspects.
Here are the events so far known:
- April 6: the Moon makes a sextile to her own position: the first passenger falls ill
- On April 11, Mars has just entered Aries: the first passenger dies. Leo S. was a Dutch ornithologist on a South America round trip with his wife. He is now being considered patient zero. The Moon trines her own position, in Aquarius.
- April 15: identification of a cluster of symptoms, but not yet identification the Hanta virus, the Moon is in Aries now and opposed her own position in the departure chart, a typical moment of crisis in a decumbiture. She is also about to cross the MC Saturn and the Sun.
- April 24: 23 passengers disembark at St. Helena: Mars is exactly conjunct the Sun in the departure chart, trined by the Moon in Leo, in the third house, linked to travel. The Moon in Leo also trines Saturn, the ruler of the 9th, long distance travel.
- On April 25 the Dutch ornithologist’s wife boards the airplane in South Africa to fly back to the Netherlands but is removed because too ill. She collapsed. The Moon is still in Leo.
- On April 26 the Dutch woman dies. Mars is conjunct the Sun and the Moon is close the the South Node in Virgo
- On April 28, a German woman dies on board at St. Helena, the Moon is now in Libra again, back to her decumbiture position.
- May 10: The ship reaches Canary Island around 22 h local time and is quarantined: The Moon is in Pisces, soon to cross the NN and Mars
- May 11th: French woman shows symptoms, 4 Italians quarantined, Moon in Pisces, where Mars is
- May 11th WHO director arrives at Lanzarote says not to worry: Mars is at the MC of the departure chart, at 24° Aries, The Moon is between Mercury and Mars of the departure chart. Mercury in the departure chart is essentially debilitated and hence not trustworthy. The WHO statement was made with Mercury at about 17° Taurus which is in the 12th house of the departure chart, sextiling the departure’s position. Plus, Mercury is under the beams.
- May 11, 12 Radboudumc hospital worked in the Dutch town of Nijmegen are quarantined. Transiting Moon is close to departure Mars In Pisces.
- May 11, The Hondius disembarks all passengers and leaves the port of Granadilla at 19:07 CET, according to vesselfinder. The vessel is scheduled to arrive at Rotterdam in three days time.

Notice Mars’ position EXACTLY on the MC and transiting Moon on Mercury in his fall, while transiting Mercury is deeply under the beams in the 12th, The news are not reliable. at least for now.
I also could not avoid taking note of the Ac in the event chart , just moving into the 6th of the departure chart. And what about Saturn conjunct the Sun?!
- May 12: A Spanish passenger was found positive.
- May 12: The Boston Herald reports that a French woman is on a artificial lung for life support. The Moon is still in Pisces, crossing Mars.
- May: 13: Transiting Saturn /Moon conjunction that might trigger the Saturn in the departure chart.
And this is is from the BBC:
Meanwhile, a British man in his 60s is isolating in Sacco hospital, Milan, after traveling on a flight to Johannesburg in late April, sitting a few rows from a Dutch woman who later died of the virus. He has no symptoms and has tested negative for the virus, but will remain in isolation until 6 June as a precaution. He had visited Rome, Florence and Venice – each for several days – before he was traced and put into quarantine.
…
May 14: transiting Moon crosses transiting Mars who is conjunct the departure MC
May 16, New Moon in Taurus: there is a first Canadian patient now.
May 19: Mars leaves Aries AND transiting Saturn, L8 in the departure, joins the Sun in the departure chart.
